About Us
The vision of the Park Avenue Christian Church is to reproduce, with the metropolitan area and it's surrounding communities, a people inspired and equipped with passion for the truth of Christ and His compassion for others, who will be enablers of change for the Disenfranchised.
The church is open seven nights a week until 11:00 pm. Pastor Wheeler often says the ministry of the church must identify and meet the needs of the community. A church that does not help is a church God is not pleased with. Rev. Wheeler is a prolific preacher and writer. Because of his gift of preaching, the membership has increased to over one thousand since 1985.
So come join us and attend one of our Sunday morning services to experience the joy and fellowing that our congregation has built over the years. | Reverend Raiford S. Wheeler was called as Pastor of Park Avenue Christian Church in 1985. Under his leadership, Park Avenue Christian Church has expanded its Outreach programs. The devastation of drugs, alcohol, social violence, single parent households and hunger in our communities has touched the heart of this prophet preacher. |
