Not very green. How many trees were killed to generate that pile of paper? The lady showing off the broom and rake apparently didn't see the paper on the sidewalk. She must have missed that one. Did anyone notice the pots that the Chrysanthemums came in where made of plastic? Not very green. Are we still pretending that those little mercury filled flourescent lights made in China are "green?" You can actually get LED lights which are much more energy efficient and which are also Made in the USA from places like this: http://ledrunlights.com/

If you haven't yet seen the photos and videos of the "One Nation Working Together" Rally that was held on Saturday, 10/02/10, go on over to my Web site and see who was there and what they left behind. http://www.eohistory.info

Ask yourself: Am I one of them? Do I believe what they believe?

If you were one of those who took the ALF-CIO's bus to DC and attended the rally, were you proud to be there? Were you among friends or among comrades?

In The East Orange Record, and I assume the Orange Transcript, of 9/30/10, there is an innocuous little article on page 3 with the headline: “Washington rally will attract local leaders, residents” and the by line : “By Chris Sykes”

The article is very revealing, both for the information it contains, but more so for the information that it conspicuously leaves out.
Among those planners, organizers and supporters we are sending our local firefighters and residents to meet are:
Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America, Committee of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism, Chicago Democratic Socialists of America, New York City Democratic Socialists of America, International Socialist Organization, Detroit Democratic Socialists of America. I just wonder if the 45 local residents who are traveling on that AFL-CIO sponsored bus know with whom they will be mingling at this picnic in DC. Bring your cameras. Take pictures. This is going to be an event you will want to show your children and grand children and attempt to explain your involvement.

And please don't take my word for it. See for yourselves at the organizing Web site: http://www.onenationworkingtogether.org/partners
Look at the list on the right of the Web page for more surprises.

I guess I need to check my glasses. I completely missed the "nj" in the middle of the printed URL. http://www.orangenjnavigator.com/ works just fine, thank you!

In last week's East Orange Record Newspaper, it was mentioned that Orange also has a Navigator We4b site, but I can't locate it. Can you put a link to the URL for that Web site?

Currently there is no obvious way to link to the web pages of otyher area towns, such as South Orange, Irvington, Orange, West Orange... and so on. It would be nice to have an easy way to check out the news from other towns.
