East Orange Campus defeats Orange High in MLK Classic

Rasul Douglas scored 23 points and fellow senior forward Yonnick Bob had 15 points to lead the East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 56-31 win over Orange on Monday Jan. 16 during the third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Classic at OHS.
Junior center Kenneth Grant also had 15 rebounds and five blocks with two points for the Jaguars, who won their second straight to improve to 3-9.
The Tornadoes was led by senior guards Khalid Muhammad with 10 points, Adam Maduro with seven points and Cornelius Wilson with six points. OHS fell to 6-7.
Grant scored 22 points and Bob had seven points for the Jaguars in a 46-36 home loss to University on Jan. 12.
Grant had 15 points and 10 rebounds and senior forward Donald Denasto had 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the Jaguars to a 47-33 win over Science Park last Saturday in Newark. Junior guard Jahreal Cadogan also had seven points and 10 assists for the Jaguars.
OHS lost to Bloomfield Tech, 47-43, on Jan. 12 in West Caldwell.
Maduro had 30 points and 11 rebounds and Muhammad had 20 points and 15 rebounds in the 74-31 home win over West Side on Saturday Jan. 14.
