The East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated University and Wings Academy of New York to extend their winning streak to five games.
Precious Osagie-Erese had 20 points, nine rebounds and six steals and Teana Muldrow had 16 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks to power the Lady Jaguars to a 55-52 win over University on Jan. 12 in Newark. Nyla Allen had eight points and 10 rebounds and Jamie Cejour had seven points for the Jaguars, ranked No. 11 in the state.
Muldrow had 27 points, six blocks, five steals and four rebounds and Osagie-Erese had 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in the 70-37 win over Wings Academy of New York last Saturday Jan. 14. The Jaguars led 37-27 at halftime and outscored Wings Academy, 33-10, in the second half. Alexis Currie also had 10 points and 15 rebounds, Angel Osagie-Erese, Precious’ sister, added seven points, seven steals and four assists and Cejour had six points for the Jaguars, who improved to 7-1.
