EOCHS girls’ hoop team reaches ECT quarters

Teana Muldrow had 16 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, five steals and three blocks and Jamie Cejour had 15 points, three assists and four steals to lead the fourth-seeded East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 72-22 win over 13th-seeded Cedar Grove in the round of 16 of the Essex County Tournament last Saturday Feb. 4 at EOCHS.
Nyla Allen had 12 points, 12 rebounds and four steals; Angel Osagie-Erese had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals and Precious Osagie-Erese, Angel’s sister, also added 12 points, three rebounds, three assists and six steals for the Jaguars, who improved to 12-5.
EOCHS, which received byes in the first and second rounds of the preliminary, will host fifth-seeded Bloomfield Tech in the quarterfinals this Saturday Feb. 11
Muldrow had 24 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks and Angel Osagie-Erese posted 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals in the 76-33 win over Central on Jan. 31 in Newark.
Precious Osagie-Erese had 12 points, five assists and six steals and Allen had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Cejour also had seven points. EOCHS lost to Blair, 58-56, on Feb. 2.
