The East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team, seeded fourth, will begin play in the Essex County Tournament this Saturday Feb. 4 at EOCHS.
The Jaguars, who received byes in the first and second preliminary rounds, will host the winner between No. 20 seed Arts and No.13 seed Cedar Grove in the round of 16.
Junior forward Teana Muldrow scored a game-high 30 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks and senior small forward Precious Osagie-Erese had 14 points, six steals and four assists in the 68-
31 home win over West Essex on Jan. 24.
Junior forward Nyla Allen also had eight points, 13 rebounds and three steals and senior forward Alexis Currie had four points and seven rebounds in the win. Junior guard Jamie Cejour had two points and five assists and freshman guard Angel Osagie-Erese had two points, four rebounds, five assists and four steals for EOCHS.
Muldrow and Precious Osagie-Erese each had 14 points in the 69-46 loss to Shabazz on Jan. 26 in Newark. Muldrow also had eight rebounds and two blocks and Precious Osagie-Erese had five rebounds and three steals. Allen had nine points and eight rebounds and Angel Osagie-Erese had seven points, five rebounds and four steals. EOCHS fell to 10-4.
