Man kills girlfriend, then self

An East Orange man killed his girlfriend then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide in front of her family members, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.East Orange police were called to a North Grove Street apartment June 21 on a report of a shooting. When they arrived they found Latoshia Murray, 23, of East Orange suffering from multiple gunshot wounds,” said Carolyn Murray, the acting Essex County prosecutor. The woman was taken to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.Police said the shooter, Alex Fuller, 29,  had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Carolyn Murray said the couple’s two sons, ages 3 and 5, were in the apartment at the time of the shootings. Also present was the sister of the victim and her boyfriend, their newborn child, and the victim’s grandmother. None of them was injured.
